Allergy Season Already?
It’s just not fair. Spring is in the air… and so is all that pollen.
As wonderful as it is to see the sunshine and smell the tulips, for some folks it means also having to put up with the runny and itchy eyes, congestion and sore throats that arrive with all those high pollen levels. We have started seeing allergy symptoms in the last few weeks and the associated fatigue that comes along with them.
We have excellent results with allergies using Nutrition Response Testing. We can help determine if there is an organ dysfunction underlying all that mucus. There are many different supplements that can help relieve these symptoms and clean up the underlying inflammation that causes them.
But we also find the biggest cause is – FOOD!
The great thing about that is – YOU can solve it – by changing what you eat. We use Nutrition Response Testing there too, we can isolate the foods that are causing all the problems.
So, how does what I eat cause my allergies to flair up?
When you eat foods that you are sensitive to, or when you eat too much sugar, your body reacts by producing histamines.
What are histamines?
Histamines are a group of chemicals your body produces that are associated with the immune system and inflammation. Does that sound familiar? Its what the major allergy drugs target – symptoms of inflammation and immune system response to a chemical or substance you’re your body doesn’t like.
When you take an anti-histamine you often experience decreased allergy symptoms. The drug will suppress these histamine compounds and the symptoms will go away.
However, the reason those histamines got all stirred up in the first place is often because of allergens in our daily meals and snacks like: wheat, soy, sugar and milk. There are other foods that can cause trouble for some people but these 4 horseman of the allergy apocalypse for many people.
So, when the pollen count is high and your body is already producing excess histamines because of the food you’ve been eating you end up suffering instead of enjoying the beautiful weather.
Reduce your allergy symptoms – 2 things you can do now
The first thing you can do to get a handle on your allergy symptoms – without drugs – is take a good look at the food you eat.
Are you eating any of the four major food allergens:
- Wheat
- Sugar
- Soy
- Milk
Even if you’ve never been “allergic” to any of these people just like you have come in with terrible allergies and gotten allergy relief just by cutting back or eliminating those foods from their daily diet. If you cut back or eliminate them you’re allergy symptoms will probably cut back or be eliminated too.
The second thing you can do is get a full l analysis and see what’s causing the most trouble, then get a nutritional program to improve it.
Yeah, it may seem like a ploy, but the truth is with Nutrition Response Testing we can determine exactly which foods are affecting you the most and exactly which supplements will help you the most.
So, while you can take some steps on your own by cutting back on as many as the above foods as you can the very best way to get rid of the underlying causes of your all your allergy symptoms is to schedule an appointment.
You may just get to enjoy the smell of blooming tulips and fresh cut grass after all…without sneezing.
