I've used this toothpaste for many years. The one time I ran out and used a different paste I went for a cleaning and found that I had a cavity. With Tooth and Gum Essentials I've had very few cavities. It's worth the money.

My dentist recommended this after I had a reaction to the whitening chemicals in the tooth paste I was using. It does leave your mouth feeling fresh and clean (I use it after brushing, just before going to bed for the night. The only reason I knocked one star off of it is the taste---it is a bit unpleasant, but you do get used to it, and it fades quickly. And if it helps my gums ( I have some gum recession), it's worth it.
